A weekly dive into the seriously silly world of Sonic the Hedgehog. Indie game developer Nick Splendorr and author Caleb Zane Huett study everyone's favorite blue guy to learn about games, stories, and maybe even ourselves. There's also a lot of goofing.
Content Warning: There’s a city in this episode of Sonic SatAM that is pronounced the same way as the current President’s campaign slogan acronym, and it made us feel bad to hear and say it! We tried not to repeat it too many times.
Rather than just talk about one shot from one scene from one episode today, we’re GOING BIG and talking about an entire cartoon! Lest our ambitions get the best of us, Sonic reminds us that all empires come to ruin, especially ones with uncompassionate politics.
AND FINALLY: The thrilling conclusion of Sonic the Hedgehog the Novel, in Speed Reading!
Please pre-order Caleb’s book, TOP ELF, coming out Sept 26 from Scholastic! There’s also a donation drive at Avid Bookshop to support Project Safe in Athens, and get entered into a raffle:
